Product Overview

It helps create directional contrast so the camera can capture clearer edges, texture changes and surface details.
In practical use, a linear light can be installed at different angles to highlight scratches, contours, gaps, printed information or height changes. Compared with broad uniform illumination, directional linear lighting can make specific features stand out more clearly when the inspection task depends on contrast. It can be used with industrial cameras, lenses and digital controllers in quality inspection, positioning, barcode reading, surface checking and dimensional measurement projects.
For project selection, engineers should evaluate the length of the inspection area, light angle, object speed, working distance, emitting color and mounting method. A linear light may be used alone or in pairs when the application requires balanced illumination from two sides. Before final installation, sample testing should confirm whether the selected angle and brightness provide enough feature contrast without creating excessive reflection.
